I had a Raggedy Ann doll that I adored and lost in while on vacation at the Smithsonian. My mom replaced it a few years ago for my birthday. I was 5 or 6 when I lost and 35 when it was replaced with a vintage replica. :)
My favorite childhood item was this yellow & white checkered blanket with a huge "Strawberry Shortcake" patch from the old cartoon show. My Aunt Betty made it for me when I was a baby & it was my snuggly until I got married, believe it or not! Now I have a 2-year-old daughter who absolutely loves it, too!
My favorite childhood item were two rabbits that my great grandmother made me before she passed away. I was so proud of them I had them on a shelf for a while cause I never wanted to mess it up. Then after a few years, I started to sleep with it because I wanted to be closer to her. I swore if my house ever caught on fire, they were one of the few things I would grab before exiting.
My favorite childhood "items" would have to be every Scooby-Doo toy that my father ever bought me. He was always up to date on what I was into even though he lived 4 hours away. But I never stopped liking Scooby-Doo. I still have my pillow, 3 bobble-heads, picture frame, and 3 stuff Scooby-Doo animals. I keep saying that I am saving them for my kids just so I don't have to throw them out.
my favorite item was a ratty yellow blankie it wasmy security it was so shredded i tripped many family members with this blanket i even stapled it to keep it together mary mcmenamy marytheclean@gmail.com
